Terms of Service
1. Who we are
SolarCAD ("the Service") is operated by Caddez Soft, India. ("CADDEZ", "we", "us"). You can reach us at info@caddez.com.
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you are using SolarCAD for an employer or client, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms on their behalf.
2. Accounts and access
- Access is currently invite-only. We may approve, decline or withdraw access at our discretion.
- Accounts are personal and single-user. You may not share your login with anyone else. The Service permits one active session per account: signing in elsewhere signs out the earlier session.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure, since sign-in uses a one-time code sent by email.
- Where a team needs several users, each person requires their own account.
3. Plans, limits and billing
- The Service is offered on a Basic and a Pro plan. What each includes — maximum plant size, number of saved projects, and which features and export contents are available — is shown in the app under your profile.
- Plan limits may be adjusted from time to time. We will not reduce the limits of a plan you have already paid for during its paid term.
- Plans are invoiced and paid by bank transfer or cheque unless we agree otherwise, and run for the term stated on the invoice. They do not renew automatically. When a term ends without renewal, access to the paid features stops; your saved projects remain in your account and are not deleted, and you can restore access by renewing.
- Prices are exclusive of GST and any other applicable taxes, which are charged at the prevailing rate.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- access the Service other than through the interface we provide — no scripted, automated or bulk use of the API, and no scraping;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source of the server-side design engine, or copy its logic into another product;
- resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties as a bureau service, unless we have agreed that in writing;
- circumvent plan limits, usage limits or access controls;
- upload content you have no right to use, or anything unlawful or malicious;
- interfere with the Service's operation or the use of it by others.
We may suspend an account that breaches this section, and will normally contact you first unless the breach is causing immediate harm.
5. Your content and your designs
- You own what you bring — site boundaries, drawings, coordinates and any other data you upload — and you own the layouts, drawings and bills of quantities you produce with the Service.
- You grant us only the limited permission needed to host, process and display that data so the Service can work for you.
- We own the Service — the software, the design engine, the interface and the underlying methods. Nothing here transfers any of that to you.
- We may use aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics to improve the Service. We do not use your site data to develop layouts for anyone else.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of material changes affecting a paid plan. Planned maintenance is normally outside Indian business hours.
7. No engineering warranty — please read
SolarCAD is a design aid. Its layouts, capacities, cable lengths, quantities, slope and shadow analyses, and drawings are computed estimates based on the inputs you provide, including any elevation data you import.
- Terrain analysis derived from public elevation models is screening-grade. It is not a substitute for a topographic survey, and volumes or reveals derived from it must not be used for construction pricing.
- Energy-related figures, where shown, are indicative and are not a yield assessment or an energy guarantee.
- All output must be reviewed, verified and approved by a competent engineer before being used for procurement, construction or financing.
The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of contract, or loss of data. Our total liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to close your account. We may terminate or suspend access for a material breach of these Terms, or on reasonable notice. On termination you may request an export of your project data within 30 days; after that we may delete it in line with our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will notify account holders by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts have exclusive jurisdiction, save that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court.
